Americans depend on Xopenex® (levalbuterol HCl) Inhalation Solution for the treatment of the symptoms that frequently arise in patients suffering from respiratory ailments such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Until recently, there were no obstacles to obtaining this medication; however, an administrative decision by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) resulted in an economic incentive for retail pharmaceutical providers to stop filling prescriptions for Xopenex - against the wishes of doctors.

Patient care should drive medical decisions, not commercial interests.

You can make a difference. Send a message to Congress and let them know that you believe that a provider's bottom line should not take precedence over the medical judgment of doctors. Help ensure that patients who need Xopenex to treat asthma and COPD have access to the drug.
